Crisis and Media Training Consultant

Rob brings a diverse set of communications skills and experience to The Harbinger Group, including media and corporate communications strategy, messaging and training, crisis communications, along with virtual and in-person presentations.

His Emmy Award-winning Chicago television career spanned more than two decades as he built a well-known, trustworthy brand anchoring evening newscasts and reporting in the field for CBS2 and ABC7. In 2019, he transitioned his career into communications consulting, where he now advises clients in both proactive and reactive communications. He infuses his broadcast experience in his work to elevate clients’ messaging and delivery to key audiences.

Rob first connected with The Harbinger Group when he was a reporter covering Golden Apple and other THG clients. He had a unique way of sharing the powerful stories of outstanding educators and the importance of spotlighting the Illinois teacher shortage. He now partners with The Harbinger Group as an expert media trainer and crisis communications counselor.

He also produces video content for his clients’ YouTube channels, corporate videos, and social assets. Additionally, he co-hosts (along with THG founder and CEO) “Can You Hear Me?” a bi-weekly business communications podcast.

Rob prioritizes his work in the community. He serves on the boards of Special Olympics Illinois, Associated Colleges of Illinois, Mission Neem, and chairs the Chicago Advisory Council for Concussion Legacy Foundation.
