You don’t have to search far to find internship horror stories. We’ve all seen the images of an unpaid college intern spending their summer juggling coffee and lunch orders while carrying out the tasks no one else on the team wants to do. The Harbinger Groups’ summer internship aims to put these images in the past.
As a fully remote company, we are dedicated to recruiting young professionals who can learn and thrive in a collaborative virtual environment. Which is why in the summer of 2021, THG excitedly welcomed our first marketing intern class and hit the ground running.
Our search for the next leaders led us to three bold rising professionals eager to explore the communications world. As a team, the class of 2021 created and kept up with the Intern Bulletin, their blog following their internship experience. They worked closely with the THG team through social media audits, graphic design work and even starred in our biweekly podcast, Can You Hear Me? Podcast.
“By the summer of senior year, I had several internships but being a part of the THG team was eye-opening. I felt like a valued team member. My ideas were heard and my questions were addressed immediately, which is rare in an internship,” Arianna Guerra, Intern Class of 2021.
It wasn’t just our intern class that learned a great deal over the summer, we as a company gained new perspectives and insight into the future of communications throughout the internship program. This is why we are overjoyed to open applications for THG’s summer marketing intern class of 2022.
If you are a rising senior with a strong interest in integrated marketing, earned and social media landscapes, who thrives in a collaborative environment this program is a great fit for you!
We are tired of seeing brilliant young professionals being unpaid, overworked interns. THG believes in order to aid the next generation of leaders to thrive it is essential to provide valuable opportunities to grow as a professional and a person.
