Stevie Awards 2022

Work on behalf of Golden Apple and Powering Chicago earns agency Gold and Silver Stevie® Awards

CHICAGO – April 28, 2022The Harbinger Group (THG) won an agency-high five Stevie® Awards in The 20th Annual American Business Awards®, a premier business awards program. This year’s award recognition focused on work with two particular clients—the Golden Apple Foundation and Powering Chicago.

Recognized in the Non-Profit/Charity category for Communications or PR Campaign of the Year, Harbinger won the Gold Stevie Award for marketing communications work promoting the 2020 and 2021 recipients of the Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching & Leadership. As part of THG’s strategic communications work, the agency drove awareness of Golden Apple’s work to elevate the teacher and school leader professions, highlight the critical roles educators have in our society, and showcase within the media how Golden Apple addresses the teacher shortage in Illinois. Along with targeted media outreach, the team also executed strategic digital marketing tactics.

In addition to winning the Gold Stevie, the agency also earned four silver Stevie Awards:

  • Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Media Relations (Golden Apple)
  • Branded Content Campaign of the Year (Powering Chicago)
  • Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Brand / Reputation Management (Powering Chicago)
  • Best E-Book (Powering Chicago)

Harbinger is the agency-of-record for Powering Chicago, an electrical industry labor-management partnership (LMCC) between IBEW Local 134 and the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) of the City of Chicago. Marketing communications work on behalf of Powering Chicago includes developing their brand platform and architecting and implementing a strategic communications plan to increase awareness and market share. As part of this work, THG successfully architected The Contactless Office eBook, which is an informational resource for owners, managers and tenants of commercial properties, and includes an overview of technology solutions that can be installed in almost any commercial property to limit opportunities for virus transmission.

The Stevie awards program is highly competitive, more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were judged by more than 230 professionals worldwide.

“At The Harbinger Group we believe that every client has a story to tell,” said Eileen Rochford, CEO and Founder of The Harbinger Group. “We take great pride in developing and executing tailored, strategic marketing communications to share that story and amplify it to the audiences that matter most to our clients.
