As we enter 2025, the content marketing landscape continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace. At The Harbinger Group, we’re not just keeping up – we’re leading the way through strategic innovation and deep industry expertise. Our team’s professional development goals reflect our commitment to delivering exceptional results for mission-driven organizations.

Eileen Rochford, CEO

As The Harbinger Group enters 2025, CEO Eileen Rochford is focusing on the foundational elements that drive client success. “I’m going to be really spending time being honest and creating consistent processes for myself,” Eileen shares.

Through strategic analysis of our 2024 campaigns, Eileen’s emphasis on process refinement has already demonstrated significant impact. “Increasing the volume of that consistent content had such a positive impact on the KPIs that we achieved for multiple clients,” she notes.

This data-driven insight has shaped our team’s approach to content creation, leading to the development of scalable processes that maintain both efficiency and quality.

Building on this success, Eileen is implementing new efficiency tools that will enhance our ability to deliver premium content within established budgets. “Efficiency is one of our core values at The Harbinger Group,” Eileen emphasizes.

By strengthening our internal processes and maintaining vigilant oversight of industry trends, our team will be prepared to address emerging challenges in the digital landscape.

Emily Evans, Director of Content and Social Media

Emily is eager to master AI tools for content creation this year. “In 2025, I would like to learn more about AI tools for content creation,” she explains. “This way, I can use more time after becoming more efficient to focus on the creativity aspect and the quality aspect of the content that we create.”

Her goal is about maximizing efficiency and enhancing the overall quality of our output. As a working mom, Emily understands the importance of maximizing productivity during her limited work hours. This new perspective has driven her to prioritize tasks effectively and anticipate challenges before they arise.

Reflecting on her experiences from 2024, Emily identifies implementing new social strategies for clients as a significant challenge. “I want to get better at content planning now that I know the challenges and bumps we might face in the road,” she notes. By focusing on proactive planning and leveraging AI tools, Emily aims to ensure that our team consistently creates top-quality content while navigating any obstacles that may come their way.

Kellie Kennedy, EVP of Strategic Earned Media

The ability to craft compelling narratives backed by data-driven insights has become essential for breakthrough communications. Kellie Kennedy, EVP of Strategic Earned Media, is focused on advancing these capabilities to new heights in 2025.

“Two skills that I really want to master in the coming year are being a better storyteller and data-driven communications,” she emphasizes.

Drawing from extensive experience in earned media, Kellie aims to develop even more impactful strategies that resonate with diverse audiences—a critical component of successful content marketing campaigns. The past year’s experiences have shaped her strategic vision for 2025.

“We need to look outside of the traditional earned media space for good opportunities for clients,” she asserts.

This insight has led to the exploration of emerging channels, including specialized newsletters and video platforms, that offer unique opportunities to connect with niche audiences. By leveraging digital storytelling and analytical insights, we’re enhancing our ability to create content that not only captures attention but drives meaningful engagement across all channels.

Tony Bosma, VP of Digital Marketing

Tony understands that data is fundamental to effective marketing strategies.

“I want to enhance my skills in advanced analytics and AI-powered ad strategy,” he states.

By leveraging data for personalized content experiences and optimizing campaign performance across all channels, Tony aims to develop more creative and effective campaigns for our clients.

“By enhancing these new skills, I’ll be able to drive innovation within the agency,” he shares. His dedication to mastering advanced analytics and AI-powered strategies ensures that our clients benefit from cutting-edge marketing solutions backed by robust data analysis.

John Arango, Director of Earned Media

The ability to forge meaningful connections with journalists and secure impactful coverage requires sophisticated strategy and deep industry knowledge. John Arango, Director of Earned Media, understands this evolving dynamic intimately.

“It’s becoming increasingly important to target the right journalist with the right story,” he emphasizes, highlighting our agency’s commitment to precision in media outreach.

Drawing from extensive experience in media relations, John recognizes that successful coverage stems from understanding both journalists’ needs and clients’ objectives. “Media relations is most effective when it’s a mutually beneficial relationship,” he notes.

Analyzing patterns from 2024, John has identified key opportunities for enhancing media engagement. “One-sided approaches not only limit coverage opportunities but also the chance to build meaningful relationships with media contacts,” he reflects. His strategic vision for 2025 focuses on deepening these vital media relationships while leveraging AI tools to identify and engage with relevant contacts more effectively.

Looking ahead, John’s confidence in this approach is clear: “I’m confident that the skills I’ll gain next year will lead to better results for our clients.” By sharing these insights across our team, The Harbinger Group continues to strengthen its position as a trusted source for journalists and a strategic partner for clients seeking impactful media coverage.

Shakari Lewis, Graphic Design Intern

Shakari is passionate about blending storytelling with design principles. “By mastering storytelling principles and improving my design techniques, I aim to create more impactful, engaging content that strengthens our clients’ connections to their audiences,” she notes. As she continues her journey at The Harbinger Group, Shakari plans to stay updated with the latest design trends and tools relevant to our mission: “This will help ensure that our graphics will stay up-to-date with our agency’s results-driven work.”

During an in-person meeting last year focused on shifting content strategy towards storytelling for one of our clients, Shakari found inspiration in collaboration: “It was an opportunity for my team and me to work collaboratively.” This experience motivated her desire to deepen her understanding of design principles and storytelling techniques further. In 2025, she aims to master animation and motion graphics: “I believe these skills will help me stay current in a marketing landscape that prioritizes interactivity and innovation.”

Olivia Sowacke, Marketing and PR Intern

As Olivia prepares for her transition from college student to full-time professional in 2025, she is eager to learn how her experiences can contribute meaningfully to The Harbinger Group’s goals. “I’m really focused on collaboration and being able to talk more with my team,” she states enthusiastically. Olivia recognizes the importance of creativity in her work: “I want more time to be creative and really work on projects that mean a lot to me.”

Reflecting on her research project involving Illinois unions last year, Olivia acknowledges how it opened her eyes: “There’s not a whole lot that I know about unions.” This realization has inspired her goal of sharpening her AI skills this year: “I definitely want to learn about more platforms and how to use them better.” By focusing on collaboration and leveraging technology effectively, Olivia aims to contribute significantly as she transitions into her new role.

As we embrace these individual goals at The Harbinger Group, we are poised for an exciting year ahead filled with impactful marketing solutions. Here’s to a bold and innovative 2025!
